Amazing Artist Eric Basaldua released the following info:

"hello every body..im sure a lot of u have heard that two portfolios (containing 48 pieces of art and at last count 22 of them were covers) were stolen from me at the san diego comic con this yr at the zenescope booth on friday around noon.......this really put a damper on my whole weekend...and the fact that it happened so early made it uneasy to put on that smile and shake hands and take pictures for the fans...but i tried not to let it bother me...as it was my fiance's 1st SDCC...and i didnt want her stressing out......pls, if u see any of these pieces on here or eBay or anywhere else pls let me know asap.....i also had another portfolio that had over 50 limited 13x19 prints...if u see one (of the copic commissions i do) that is "UN"signed it was stolen...i sign ALL the ones i sell.....ive gotten so much help and support...so thanks to all that have helped thus far.......i will try and post as many as i can asap"

If anyone comes across any of his work here or ebay etc please take the proper measures!!!

Boston Comicon was fantastic. My sister almost had a seizure when i introduced her to Joseph M Lisner (creator of Dawn for the few who don't know lol). Had great conversations with both and that completely made the trip worth it.

Plan now is to have a brand new and fresh portfolio ready for NYCC, and see if I can't get some legit professional criticism.

So I want to thank the mentioned names for helping light a dormant fire.

Also want to thank and for just being cool dudes even though they had their hands full!

Well I'm still at work atm but am really excited to get my ass home to my studio and pound out some pages!!!

I was sick of looking at the year old Journal entry so decided it was time to write a new one lol

So leaving for Boston Comicon in 8 hours to enjoy a day of geekery with my sister and her boyfriend/my boy Mike.

Unfortunately my wonderful girlfriend is stuck having to work on what was supposed to be her day off which totally blows

So I'm psyched to see , and . Really looking forward to picking up Skottie's Art Book Junk one. This is also my boy Mike's first Con experience and I can't wait to see the look on his face when we walk in the door lol

I'm really looking forward to the vibe I get from looking at original art from the countless talented artists that attend these shows. I always leave with a feeling of hope and a desire to go home and pound out some pages, try new techniques and just be a better artist.

Well short and sweet works for me tonight.
I'm sure I'll be back with a few cool stories after the show and I'm off on Monday so I'll be spending the day in the studio getting some work finished and ready to post

p.s I just answered an ad for a paid Comic Book artist Job... keeping fingers crossed it's something up my alley and fits my extensive day job schedule lol Should know sometime next week!
